Kahani Utsav in schools
The Kahani Utsav was started under the Centre’s ambitious scheme “Padhe Bharat-Badhe Bharat” with the intention of creating interest and enthusiasm in children of government schools towards studies.
Today teachers do not narrate stories to children in schools due to pressure of completing the syllabus and do not talk openly about it. Under such circumstances, a friendly relationship between teachers and students cannot be established.
Children are not able to share with their teachers and this obstructs the learning process of children. Kahani Utsav has been initiated to develop the art of story-telling in teachers.
The School Education Department is making efforts to encourage children to participate in the Utsav to develop their thirst for knowledge and art of expressing oneself.>
