State to get 25 thousand MT urea immediately with CM Kamal Nath’s efforts

Union Ministry for Fertilizer and Chemicals issues order

Union Ministry for Fertilizer and Chemicals has given its approval for immediate supply of 25 thousand metric tonne urea due to the efforts of Chief Minister Shri Kamal Nath.

The state government has urged the central government to available 10 urea rakes on priority to Madhya Pradesh in the next 7 days so as to ensure availability of urea to farmers of the state as per their demand.

So far, about 2 lakh 15 thousand metric tonnes of urea has been supplied in the state. About 50 thousand metric tonnes of urea will reach the state.

During the Rabi season, the central government has agreed to supply a total of 4 lakh 10 thousand metric tonnes of urea to the state. The Union Ministry of Chemicals and Railway Ministry has released the order today to the East and West Coast to give priority to Madhya Pradesh along with Rajasthan, Haryana, Bihar and West Bengal for urea supply till December 31.

This order will further accelerate supply of urea from the country’s East and West Coast in Madhya Pradesh

In addition, the Union Ministry is being constantly urged to allot all urea from the state’s National Fertilizer Limited, Vijaipur, Guna plant to the state itself.

Earlier the state was getting 6-7 rakes daily. After Chief Minister Shri Kamal Nath’s discussion with the Union Railway Minister Shri Piyush Goyal and the Union Chemicals Minister Shri Sadanand Gowda now the state is getting 10 to 12 rakes urea daily.

DAP rake of 1226 metric tonne is also reaching Mandideep and 4048 MT in Ratlam rake point. Necessary instructions have been given to the District Collectors related to the distribution of urea and DAP to the farmers according to their demand.
