Supreme Court adjourns Ayodhya case yet again, this happened in court

On the crucial issue of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, the Supreme Court has yet again adjourned the case today.

This took place after one of the five judges in the constitution bench recused himself from the case.

Justice UU Lalit recused himself saying he had been a lawyer in a related case.

Now, the top court will take up the temple-mosque case on January 29.

The bench led by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi will then decide on a schedule and the frequency of hearings in the case.

The other judges on the Constitution Bench are Justice SA Bobde, Justice NV Ramana and Justice DY Chandrachud.

Members of the ruling BJP, some of its allies and right-wing groups want a special executive order or ordinance to enable the start of construction before the general elections are announced.
