Something stuffed in a polythene bag and found near a pit in garden of the Raipur airport had the security apparatus alarmed to say the least.
Suspecting it to be an explosive of some kind, the bomb squad on Sunday as well as Mana police were summoned to secure the area and ascertain the ‘substance’.
But as all precautions and usual protocols were followed and the substance was taken to a deserted stretch to ascertain what it is, the bomb squad came in for surprise.
While all of the arrangements were for what was suspected to be a ‘bomb’, the security officials have sigh of relief as it did not turn out to be so.
It is said that the suspected thing may even be cow-dung.
It is said that the airport is surrounded by a large number of villages and the rurals come about often in the vicinity with their cattle.
But the security staffers were relieved that the suspected thing is not in any way dangerous.>
