In the times of the pandemic, the values of inculcating cleanliness has become all the more pertinent among the common masses.
NTPC being a responsible Corporate is playing its role by not only creating awareness but also carrying out sanitation drive in its adjoining areas.
The Swachhta Pakhwada which kickstarted off on 16th May with various awareness programs observed by NTPC WR II concluded today.
RED West II Shri Sanjay Madan stated- “It is essential that we become all the more aware to keep our environment clean and practice handwashing to battle the pandemic.
At the same time being aware about our environment and sustaining it is also important.” A tree plantation drive was carried out amidst social distancing at NTPC WR II HQ office at Naya Raipur.
The Swachhta pledge was also undertaken by all the employees through online mode of MS Teams. Believing in the concept that progress is only possible when all the members of the society become aware, competitions like essay and quiz were organized through online mode for the family members and children.
The children were made aware about the concept of Swachh Bharat Aviyan and the policies and the target behind it.
The NTPC stations at Chhattisgarh and MP also carried out extensive drive on sanitation with special emphasis on mask wearing and social distancing. Shri Madan stated “Swachhta is not to be practiced for a day or two but it should be an integral part of our daily lives.”
