On the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary, even the world’s tallest building Burj Khalifa in Dubai was lit up with the picture and philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi.
On the occasion, the India’s Ambassador to UAE Navdeep Suri said that he was delighted by screening Gandhi’s image on the iconic building.
He said that this only goes to remind about the enduring message of Mahatma Gandhi and further motivates to put some of his lessons into practice.
The ambassador took to Twitter to write, “Such a joy to see the Burj Khalifa lit up with Gandhiji – visuals, text and music in perfect harmony. A big thanks to our friends at Emaar and the great team at @cgidubai for making it happen.” The event was organised by the Indian Embassy, Abu Dhabi and Indian Consulate, Dubai along with Emaar Properties.
A projection show was also held in Indonesia which reflected the ideals that Mahatma Gandhi believed, practised, lived and also sacrificed his life for.
The Embassy of India in association with Taman Wisaca Candi (TWC) and Regional Government of the Special Province Yogyakarta paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi with an LCD projection at the Prambanan Temple in Yogyakarta on October 2.>
