Tamil Nadu CM announces solatium for two martyred CRPF personnel

In a grief struck nation, various state governments have come forward to announce solatiums to martyred personnel from Pulwama terror attacks.

In another of such gesture, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Palanisami not only condoled the deaths of at least 40 CRPF jawans in the terror attack that took place

in Jammu and Kashmir but also announced a solatium of Rs 20 lakh each to the families of two jawans from the state who were martyred.

Palanisami expressed his grief over the deaths of the two troopers from Tamil Nadu, G Subramanian and C Sivachandran.

It need be recalled that CRPF paramilitary troopers were killed in a suicide bombing attack when an explosive-laden vehicle rammed into a CRPF bus, belonging to a 78-vehicle convoy carrying at least 2,500 soldiers.

Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Several countries including the United States have condemned the heinous attack on Indian security forces.

As of now, the situation in Jammu and Kashmir remains tense as all convoy movement has been halted.
