The exam conducting body Directorate of Government Examinations, Government of Tamil Nadu has uploaded the 10th result on the official website tnresults.nic.in. Education Minister K.A. Sengottaiyan has declared the results in a press conference. Result analysis is also available at the website of DGE Tamil Nadu. DGE Tamil Nadu declared the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) or Class 12 results. Students can check their result using their registration number and date of birth. On May 16, 2018. While overall 91.1% students have cleared the exam, girls have outperformed boys this year as well with a pass percentage of 94.1%. A total of 907620 candidates had registered for the exam (including private candidates).

8,97,945 students out of 9,50,397 students who had appeared for the exam, have cleared the exam.
The pass percentage is 94.5%.
The overall pass percentage has increased by 0.1% in comparison to last year.
0.99% or 9402 students have secured about 481 marks.
Majority students (comprising of 38.52%) have secured marks in the range of 301-400 marks
Highest pass percentage is recorded in Science subject (98.47%). In Mathematics subject 96.18% students have passed.
Girls have recorded 99.17 pass percentage in Science subject.
The pass percentage in government schools is 91.36.
Sivagangai district has recorded the highest pass percentage 98.5%.
