Terrorists abduct families of JK police personnel, heres latest

The terrorists are unrelenting as far as Kashmir is concerned as the insurgents in South Kashmir have abducted 10 close family members of J-K police officers.

This has come about over past one week time itself.

It need be mentioned that police confirmed how only in the last 24 hours alone, militants have taken nine such relatives.

With this development, high alert has been sounded across the Jammu and Kashmir.

Police said that nine of the 10 abducted people have been identified as Zubair Ahmad Bhat, Arif Ahmad Sankar, Faizan Ahmad Makro, Sumar Ahmad Rather, Gowher Ahmad Malik, Zahoor Ahmad Zargar, Mohammed Shafi, Naseer Ahmad Mir Midoora, and Adnan Ashraf Shah.

The abductions were carried out when terrorists raided the houses of police officers in the Kashmir Valley.

It is also being said that most of the people abducted were taken from Shopian, Kulgam, Anantnag, Pulwama and Awantipora districts.

Father of Hizbul Mujahideen operational commander Reyaz Naikoo was also detained for questioning after the raids, police said.

After this, through Thursday, several close family members of police officers were abducted by militants in Kashmir.
