External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar has said that there cannot be a military solution for Afghanistan’s situation. He stressed that there must be a negotiated political settlement in Afghanistan.
Replying to supplementaries in the Rajya Sabha today, Dr. Jaishankar said, there cannot be a takeover by use of force in Afghanistan and India will work with the international community to ensure that political negotiations for the settlement are pursued seriously.
He added that New Delhi will never accept an outcome which is decided by the force. He said, he had detailed discussion with the US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken over Afghanistan’s issue.
