Three new Addl Chief Secys in Chhattisgarh; heres what happened
It was a decision on expected lines. Three of the Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officers were on Tuesday promoted to post of Additional Chief Secretary.
The three IAS officers are CK Khetan, BVR Subramaniam and RP Mandal.
The decision was taken in a Departmental Promotion Committee meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Vivek Dhand and also in attendance was NMDC Chairman N Baijendra Kumar as representative of central government.
The meeting had been convened at the residence of Chief Secretary and also in attendance were ACS Ajay Singh and Secretary to General Administration Department. The promotion of three officers was almost certain.
This because while N Baijendra Kumar has been appointed to the Chairman post of NMDC, NK Aswal got retired and another of the ACS MK Raut is due to retire this month itself.
It remains to be seen if the three IAS officers continue to supervise the departments that they are currently assigned in.>
