In a shot in the arm for the Delhi government headed by AAP’s Arvind Kejriwal, the Mohalla Clinic project came in for a huge praise.
The praise was from none other than former United Nations secretary-general Ban Ki-Moon and former Norwegian prime minister Gro Harlem Brundtland.
The two dignitaries made a visit to the health facility built under the much talked about initiative.
“I am deeply impressed by what I have seen,” Mr Moon said after visiting the Peeragarhi Mohalla Clinic and a polyclinic in the Paschim Vihar locality.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Health Minister Satyendar Jain accompanied them during the visit.
The other dignitary Ms Brundtland too opined that Mohalla Clinics project should be replicated across the country.
Ban Ki-Moon and Gro Harlem Brundtland are in the country as part of a delegation from The Elders, a London-based organisation of independent global leaders who pool their collective experiences and resources for promoting peace, justice and human rights.>
