Udit Raj had this to say on CBI inquiry into ICICI bank and Videocon loan saga

CBI is currently carrying out a preliminary enquiry (PE)

Udit Raj, Dalit leader and also an MP from Delhi’s North West constituency, has demanded that a first information report (FIR) against ICICI Bank CEO Chanda Kochhar and her husband Deepak Kochhar be filed.

He accused them of cheating the public of thousands of crores.

He said that the couple be subjected to custodial interrogation in view of the gravity of allegations.

Raj is also said to have written in this regard to the CBI director Alok Kumar Verma.

It need be mentioned that the CBI is currently carrying out a preliminary enquiry (PE) into charges of corruption.

The case is that the loans were given to the Videocon Group with whom Deepak Kochhar, husband of ICICI bank CEO Chanda Kochhar, had a business partnership.

This demand comes amid Chanda Kochhar’s brother in law Rajiv Kochhar getting questioned for two consecutive days by the CBI.
