UIDAI crucial installation in B’luru; given under CISF commando cover; heres more
With the rising threat perception on the installation housing UIDAI data center in Bengaluru, the government on Saturday deployed CISF commandos to guard it.
About 80 commandos of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) took over full security of the all-important and sensitive UIDAI data centre at Bengaluru, the repository of Aadhaar data.
This is aimed at protecting the installation against the possible terror strikes or threats.
The CISF has been guarding the facility since December 2014 and the government has now regularized its deployment.
It need be mentioned that the Ministry of Home Affairs had some time back cleared the proposal for regular force deployment for this installation and even sanctioned a squad of 162 CISF men to guard the facility.
The CISF will provide an armed security cover at the facility round-the-clock, and special vehicle-borne quick reaction teams of commandos will be stationed at vantage points to charge in case of an attack or sabotage-like activity. The force will oversee the overall entry and exit at the facility. >
