Union Minister of State for Steel Mr. Vishnudev Sahay today reviewed the developmental works in 10 Aspirational Districts at Mantralaya (Mahanadi Bhawan).
He spoke to various District Collectors via video-conferencing and took updates on the various Central and State Government socio-economic development works. MPs Mr. Chandulal Sahu and Rajnandgaon MP Mr. Abhishekh Singh and Chief Secretary Mr. Ajay Singh were also present.
The Union Minister Mr. Sahay reviewed the progress of works in Korba, Mahasamund, Bastar, Bijapur, Dantewada, Kanker, Kondagaon, Narayanpur, Rajnandgaon and Sukma districts.
He collected the details health, education, irrigation, drinking water, laying of roads, agriculture, Swachhta, skills’ development, crops’ insurance, malnutrition eradication programes.
Kanker Collector informed the gathering that 132 villages had been uplinked to Internet Connectivity through the Bharat Net Project. Work is in progress to connect 100 more villages.
Towers are being installed via Sky Projects. Thirteen thousand farmers had been provided jobs under the MGNREGA in improvement of tanks . Rajnandgaon MP Mr. Abhishek Singh said that health facilities and elimination of malnutrition are being extended in remote regions with the help of Indo-Tibetan Border Force and Health Department.
Mahasamund MP Mr. Chandulal Sahu said that he had given instructions to speed up the construction of school buildings in the district. Narayanpur and Sukma District Collectors informed the gathering that efforts are beings made to provide health amenities and elimination of malnourishment in children in both the districts.
