UP: 12 killed, including 11 children, school van collided with train in Kushinagar

In Kusinagar, Uttar Pradesh, 12 people, including 11 children, died due to collision with a school van on Thursday morning in a painful accident. Among the dead, there is a bus driver. Many children are reported to be injured in this accident. It is being told that there were about 25 children in the van.

On Thursday morning, Divine Public School’s Tata Magic van was going to school for children. The van was full of children. Vastunpura police station, near the dudhihi railway crossing, the Thawe-badhni Passenger train was passing. This railway crossing is being declared unmanned. The school started out of the van track, only then it got hit by the train passing through it.

The incident was so horrible that the voices were heard far and wide. The van flew over. The surrounding people reached the spot after hearing screams and started relief work. Police and administration were immediately informed about it.

On this incident, UP’s CM Yogi Adityanath has condoled the accident. They announced compensation of Rs two lakh to the families of children killed in the accident. Team has been formed to investigate the incident. Here the CM Yogi will leave for Kushinagar sometime. They will go there and meet the relatives of the deceased.

Akhilesh is unhappy with the accident
Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Akhilesh Yadav has also mourned the accident. He tweeted, “The heart is very sad due to the death of children.”

Meanwhile, UP DGP OP Singh tweeted, “I express my condolences on the death of children in a train accident in Kushinagar. I pray to God that they give strength to the family of the dead to overcome this sad moment. I have asked ADJ of Gorakhpur to reach the spot immediately. Relief and rescue work is being carried out.

Railway’s announcement of compensation

Railway Minister Piyush Goyal expressed his condolence at the death of school children in Kusinagar accident. He tweeted that the sad news of the death of schoolchildren was found in Kushinagar. Senior officers have instructed to investigate the accident, family members of the deceased will be given assistance of two lakh rupees from the railway side. At the same time, the UPA will be more than two lakhs given by the government.
