US-Bangla Flight Crashes in Kathmandu; 30 Rescued

As reported eight people were killed after a US-Bangla Airlines flight, carrying 67 passengers and four crew members, crashed at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, Nepal, on the afternoon of 12 March.

At least 30 passengers were rescued and rushed to the hospital.

The plane caught fire after it careened off the runway during landing and crashed into a football ground near the airport.

The airport has been temporarily closed for all departures and arrivals.
