In a shocking revelation for the United States, the country’s investigating agency FBI has apprehended a New York-based man for allegedly trying to join Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT).
It need be mentioned that LeT is a terrorist organisation accused on 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks in 2008.
The US federal prosecutors made the announced of arrest of the New Yorker.
The man has been identified as Jesus Wilfredo Encarnacion (29), was arrested Thursday night at John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK Airport) as he was about to board an international flight with Pakistan being his final destination.
Encarnacion’s arrest unvieled that the Pakistani terror organisation has expanded its tentacles in the United States. In another indication to that effect, the FBI charged a teenager in Texas with using social media to recruit people on behalf of the LeT.
In the southern state of Texas, Michael Kyle Sewell, 18, was charged by the FBI with using social media to recruit people on behalf of LeT and send them to Pakistan for terrorist training.
