With BJP governments, both at central and state level, under pressure for Ram temple in Ayodhya, chief minister
Yogi Adityanath perhaps is now likely to come up with an announcement.
It is said that he might announce a 151-metre tall Lord Ram statue in Ayodhya.
Incidentally, even Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan welcomed the idea.
Azam Khan said that Lord Ram’s statue should be constructed taller than the recently-inaugurated 182-meter Sardar Vallabhai Patel’s statue.
The statue is likely to come up near the Sarayu river in the temple town.
The announcement in this regard will be made during the Deepawali festivities to be organised the next week when Yogi Adityanath will be in Ayodhya.
This comes at a time when the seers in Ayodhya have been pressing for construction of a statue of Lord Ram similar to that of Statue of Unity.>
