In a major announcement, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has renamed the city of Faizabad as Ayodhya.
He made the announcement as he attended the grand Diwali celebrations being held in Ayodhya.
It need be mentioned that South Korean First Lady Kim Jung-sook is the chief guest at the event.
This is the time that a foreign dignitary is attending Diwali celebrations in the country.
A massive 30-feet statue of Lord Ram has been installed on the banks of the Saryu river, along with that of Lord Hanuman’s.
The CM also took the opportunity to announce that a new airport and a medical college will be built in Ayodhya.
He said,”We’re going to come up with a new medical college in Ayodhya. It will be named after Raja Dashrath. The airport here will be developed as Maryada Purshottam Ram Airport.”
Ayodhya is known because of Lord Ram, says Yogi Adityanath. He announces that Faizabad district will now be known as Ayodhya.>
