Uttar Pradesh government has announced complete closure on every Sunday in the entire state. The decision was taken by Chief Minister Yogi AdityaNath after reviewing the covid situation in state with senior officers.
He said that only emergency services and sanitation work along with awareness drive will continue on Sunday in state. This complete closure will be applicable to rural and urban areas as well.
Chief Minister has ordered very strict punishment for people who roam without masks. For the first time offenders, the penalty will be thousand rupees and on second time the penalty will be 10000 rupees.
State is currently having more than 1 lakh active covid cases. State government has taken a slew of measures to stop the spread of virus further. AIR correspondent reports that OPD services in all government hospitals across the state have been suspended from today till next orders, although emergency services will be functional.
