In a major accident, a vehicle carrying dangerous chemicals exploded at the entrance of a chemical factory in a northern Chinese city.
The accident left as many as 22 people dead while 22 others sustained injuries.
It is learnt that the blast ignited other vehicles, leaving charred and smoking remains of trucks and cars scattered on a road as firefighters worked at the scene.
The images were even posted online by state media.
The city where this accident took place has been identified as Zhangjiakou, a city some 200 kilometres (124 miles) northwest of Beijing.
It is likely that the explosions will be probed thorougly to ascertain the reasons behind the mishap.>
