During his today’s tour under state-wide Vikas Yatra, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh unveiled 27 construction works worth nearly Rs 302 crore at the massive public gathering held in Bamhanidih of Janjgir-Champa district.
Dr Singh inaugurated 10 completed construction works worth nearly Rs 132 crore 51 lakh and laid foundation of 17 new works worth nearly Rs 169 crore 51 lakh. He transferred paddy bonus worth Rs 200 crore to the bank accounts one lakh 32 thousand farmers of the district at a click, at the general assembly held today in Bamhanidih.
He distributed ‘aabaadi patta’ to 10 thousand 369 families, bicycles to 2600 labourers, safety equipments to 3050 labourers and tricycle to 25 disable beneficiaries.
Announcing the sanction of bridge construction in Hasdeo River near Bamhanidih, Dr Singh said in his address to the general assembly that provisions for the bridge will be made in upcoming budget.
He also announced that the venue of general assembly (playground) will be developed as a better stadium. Works inaugurated by Chief Minister include Shivrinarayan-Birra-Champa Road worth Rs 122 crore, Belkari-Bavanmudi Road built at the cost of Rs one crore 93 lakh, Bhadora-Jagodipa Road worth Rs one crore 78 lakh, and Jaijaipur Main Road to Shikarinar Road worth Rs one crore 73 lakh. Chief Minister also inaugurated 33/11 KV power substation worth Rs one crore 10 lakh in village Khairjhiti in the general assembly.
Chief Minister did bhumi-pujan and laid foundation of 32-km Sakti-Tundri Road worth Rs 95 crore, 18-km long Chhoteseepat-Faraswani Road, Boys hostel of 100-seat capacity worth Rs two crore 72 lakh in Hasaud, Tribal Ashram for boys worth Rs one 62 lakh in Guchkuliya and boys’ hostel building in Odekera worth Rs one crore 52 lakh.>
