Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh inaugurated-laid foundation of 31 construction works worth nearly Rs 154 crore 54 lakh at general assembly held in Simga area of Balodabazar-Bhatapara district under state-wide Vikas Yatra.
This includes inauguration of 16 completed construction works worth Rs 17 crore 83 lakh and foundation laying-bhumipujan of 15 new construction works worth Rs 136 crore 71 lakh. Chief Minister did bhumipujan of Bhatapara bypass road worth Rs 55 crore 42 lakh, Bhatapara-Chandkhuri widening-repairing work worth Rs 32 crore, Kesla solar micro irrigation scheme worth Rs 11 crore 60 lakh.
He distributed goods and cheques of financial aid worth nearly Rs 54 crore to 29 thousand 164 beneficiaries of various schemes. He distributed paddy bonus worth Rs 21 crore 26 lakh to 15 thousand 576, house sanction letter to 2392 families of Prime Minister Housing Scheme, LPG connection to 150 women under Prime Minister Ujjwala Scheme.
Legislative Assembly Speaker Mr. Gaurishankar Agrawal, MP Mr. Ramesh Baid, MLA and Vice-Chairman of Scheduled Caste Development Authority Dr Sanam Jangade and MLA Mr. Shivratan Sharma were also present.
Works inaugurated by Chief Minister mainly include renovation and canal lining work of Tarenga Diversion done at the cost of Rs 4 crore 86 lakh, Koliha-Mandhar Road worth Rs three crore 25 lakh, Rampur anicut repairing work worth Rs two crore 65 lakh, newly-built mini stadiums in Kodwa, Mopar, Datrengi, Chaurenga and Rohra worth Rs two crore 56 lakh.
Besides, Dr Singh also inaugurated shopping complex in Bhatapara Municipal Council worth Rs one crore 16 lakh, bridge built on Jamunaiya Nala on Bitkuli-Jangda Road at the cost of Rs two crore 50 lakh, 10 smart aanganbadi buildings worth Rs 16 lakh in Bhatapara Assembly Jurisdiction, Veterinary Hospital building in Ravaan worth Rs 19 lakh, and Atal Samrasta building worth Rs 19.39 lakh in Mopka.
Chief Minister laid foundation of Simha Irrigation Scheme renovation work worth Rs one crore 83 lakh, bridge construction from Chauranga to Manohara worth Rs 94.56 lakh, High School buildings in Chaurenga and Chakravay worth Rs one crore 47 lakh, road construction from Rajadhar to Gurra and from Khairghat to Dhobni worth Rs 5 crore 49 lakh, roadside drainage, pipeline extension and shopping complex in Bhatapara Municipal Corporation worth Rs 25 crore, primary health centre buildings in Nipaniya and Bitkuli worth Rs one crore 40 lakh.
More than eight thousand labourers benefitted
In the general assembly, Chief Minister distributed goods and cheques of financial aid to more than eight thousand labourers under various schemes of Labour Department.
This includes distribution of bicycles to three thousand labourers, toolkits to 2250 labourers, security equipments to 2250 labourers. Dr Singh distributed cheques of scholarships to 190 students under Medhavi Chhatravritti Yojana, incentive cheque to two hundred beneficiaries under Vivah Sahayta Yojana, cheques to 100 women under Prasooti Sahayta Yojana, scholarship under Naunihaal Scholarship Scheme to 500 students.
Shri Singh distributed electricity connection certificates to 250 beneficiaries under Saubhagya Yojana, rehab equipments to 37 disable beneficiaries.>
