Violence erupts again in Bihar; post idol vandalism

Administration has meanwhile rushed in the security personnel

Violence has yet again erupted in Bihar as it did during the Ram Navami celebrations.

This time, the reason being cited is the vandalism of idol in Nawada.

Reports indicate that the incident reportedly took place near Baba’s Dhaba at NH31 between two communities after a statue was allegedly vandalized in the area.

The clashes began with stone pelting at each other.

Administration has meanwhile rushed in the security personnel to bring the situation under control.

It need be recalled that the situation had become tense when rioters set ablaze more than 20 shops and pelted stones at those participating in a Rama Navami procession through Nawadih Colony.

Union Minister of State for Home Hansraj Ahir has blamed the West Bengal and Bihar governments for communal violence in the state on Ram Navami.
