Virat Kohli, Ravi Shastri Combo To Start From Where They Left

India skipper Virat Kohli and head coach Ravi Shastri are set to address the media before the team departs for the tour of Sri Lanka from Mumbai on Wednesday. Ravi Shastri is set to embark on his first tour with the Indian team after being appointed head coach till the 2019 World Cup.

India skipper Virat Kohli will re-join forces with Shastri after a gap of a year.

Shastri was team director till June 2016 before Anil Kumble was made head coach. India is scheduled to play 3 Tests, 5 ODIs and one T20I against Sri Lanka starting July 26. The three Test matches will be played at Galle, Colombo and Kandy. While Rohit Sharma has made a comeback into the longest format of the game, opener Shikhar Dhawan has replaced Murali Vijay in the upcoming three-match Test series against Sri Lanka. Vijay has complained of pain in his wrist while playing a preparatory match. The same wrist injury had troubled him during the last Test series against Australia at home.
