Visually handicapped students in Bhopal demanded a job from the government

Jal Satyagraha

Visually handicapped students in Bhopal demanded a job from the government while Visually impaired students held ‘Jal Satyagraha’ in a pond near Neelam Park earlier today demanding employment from the state government. These students have been performing since last one week. Earlier these students had come to the streets against the government. These students are demanding employment and other basic amenities in the cold winter hours.

Their union chief Manish said, “We had written a letter to the concerned office and told about their need, but no action was taken.” He told that the students will continue to perform till the demand is met.

Manish said, ‘Our main demand is education and employment. For the past 50 years, we have no university and school for such students and those who have studied have no employment opportunities. The blind have to pay all the electricity bill while the traders and the businessman have a discount of 50 percent.’
