It was exactly a week ago that the first reel of Tiger Shroff and Hrithik Roshan’s War rolled out in theatres. And within 7 days of its release, the action entertainer has cooked up a storm at the box office. Siddharth Anand’s directorial venture, which made more than Rs 50 crore on its opening day and entered the Rs 100-crore club in 3 days of its release, has now crossed the Rs 200-crore mark.
According to early estimates, War made Rs 30 crore (approx) on Tuesday, thus taking the seven-day collection to Rs 217.75 crore (approx).
What began as a success story at the ticket windows has now turned into a blockbuster. War has been setting new benchmarks with each passing day, and Tuesday was no different. The film not only entered the coveted Rs 200-crore club, but also crossed the lifetime business of Akshay Kumar’s Mission Mangal.
In fact, the film has beaten the likes of 2019 hit films like Kabir Singh, Bharat and Uri:The Surgical to cross the Rs 200-crore mark in 7 days. If Shahid Kapoor’s Kabir Singh reached the mark in 13 days, Salman Khan’s Eid release Bharat took 14 days to make it to the Rs 200-crore club.
However, War, starring two big stars – Hrithik and Tiger, has managed to pull large crowds. Such has been the hype that the film has been unstoppable at the box office.
