Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff make a deadly combo, and their latest release War is proof of it. In less than two weeks of its release, the action entertainer has surpassed the lifetime business of Vicky Kaushal’s Uri: The Surgical Strike, thus becoming the second highest grosser of 2019. But going by its magic at the box office, War is set to enter the Rs 300-crore club soon.
War, directed by Siddharth Anand, is unstoppable at the ticket windows. The film crossed the Rs 250-crore mark in 11 days of release. And going by early estimates, Sunday’s business was no less. Reportedly, the film made Rs 14 crore (approx) on October 13, thus taking the total collection to Rs 271 crore (approx).
From high-octane action sequences to breathtaking locales to Hrithik and Tiger’s face-off, everything about War is working in its favour. If the film became the biggest opener of 2019, it is now set to beat Shahid Kapoor’s Kabir Singh to be the highest grossing film of this year.
It is for the first time that Tiger and Hrithik have collaborated for a project, and their fans can’t keep calm. Ever since the film’s release, they are thronging the theatre in large numbers.
While Tiger has attained the tag of an action hero, it is after a long time that Hrithik has returned to the action genre. And fans cannot stop crushing over him. If the 45-year-old actor is making women go weak in the knees, men too cannot stop man crushing on him.
Filmmaker Karan Johar was all praise for War and said that he couldn’t help but man crush on Hrithik.
