West Bengal assembly elections are announced today by election commission.
The assembly elections for the West Bengal have been announced today by the Election Commission in a press conference held in Delhi today.
The term of current assembly ends on 30th May. The elections will be held in eight phases from 27th march 2021 to 29th April 2021 for 294 assembly constituencies.
The elections will be held following all covid related protocols.
CEO West Bengal Sh Aariz Aftab informed in a press conference held today in Kolkata that elections will be held in 1,01,916 polling stations.
There are total 7,32,94,980 voters including third gender.
He further informed that all polling stations will be on the ground floor.
It is to be noted that central forces have already been deployed in West Bengal.
The forces will lay stress on area domination, specially in sensitive zones, assisted by state police and senior officials of the district administration.
