Naini-Doon Janshatabdi Express flagged off by Piyuh Goyal

Will run five days a week between Kathgodam and Dehradun

New Delhi.

The Naini-Doon Janshatabdi Express between Kathgodam and Dehradun was flagged off via video link by the Union Minister for Railways and Coal, Piyush Goyal on Sunday. Train number 12090/12089 Naini-Doon Janshatabdi Express will run five days a week and will be flagged off on its maiden run from Kathgodam railway station at 11 AM and reach Dehradun railway station at 6:55 PM.

North Easter railway, Izzatnagar PRO Rajendra Singh informed that regular operation of this new train will start from August 27 between Kathgodam and Dehradun. Train number 12090 will ply from Kathgodam every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 5:15 AM and reach Dehradun at 12:30 PM. After departing from Kathgodam, the train will make halts at Haldwani, Lalkuan, Rudrapur, Rampur, Moradabad, Najibabad and Haridwar before reaching Dehradun.

Train number 12089 will depart from Dehradun at 4:15 PM and halt at the same stations before arriving in Kathgodam at 11:50 PM.

Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, Rajya Sabha MP Anil Baluni credited with pursuing the demand for initiating this new train service, Union minister of State Ajay Tamta, Lok Sabha MPs Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Bhuwan Chandra Khanduri, Ramesh Pokhriyal, leader of opposition Indira Hridayesh and other public representatives were also present on the occasion.
