With minor clashes on; more central forces deployed in Bihar

minor clashes have continued to take place in places like Gaya, Siwan and Kaimur

The communal clashes that broke out during the Ram Navami celebrations have continued to simmer which is why three additional companies of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) have now been deployed in Aurangabad.

The decision was taken in view of the maintenance of law and order situation of the district.

The decision comes two days after a clash broke out between two communities during Ram Navami celebrations here.

It need be recalled that the situation had gone out of control on Sunday evening when rioters set ablaze more than 20 shops and pelted stones at those participating in a Ram Navami procession through Nawadih Colony.

Rioters, as per sources, torched as many as 50 shops near Jama Masjid alone and very many others including policemen were injured due to stone pelting by miscreants.

In view of this situation, a curfew was imposed and internet services were reportedly suspended for a 24-hour time span.

But minor clashes have continued to take place in places like Gaya, Siwan and Kaimur.
