In a gruesome incident that should make the police revisit how the women’s security is being arranged in national capital, it emerged that a 25-year-old woman was allegedly kidnapped and assaulted in a car by an unidentified man.
The crime took place in southeast Delhi and the woman was later thrown off the vehicle, as per police sources.
Police added that the woman alleged that after being abducted from Millennium Depot Sarai Kale Khan.
The victim woman is for now undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Police have so far figured that the woman had gone to a public toilet at I P park to give food to her sister, who was working there as an attendant in place of her mother.
It was then that a man, in his 30s, told her that he knew her mother and somehow persuaded her to accompany him.
The victim alleged that the man followed her in a car and near Millennium Depot, he forcibly took her inside the vehicle, police said.
On the way, he tried to harass her and assaulted her with a glass bottle, following which she sustained injuries, he said.
It is not clear if the woman has been raped or not, said police.
The woman is married and her husband is a casual labourer, police informed.>
