In what is said to be a gruesome crime, a woman was allegedly gang-raped twice in different incidents on the same night.
The incident is said to be of intervening night of January 15 and 16.
Police said that they have so far arrested four men and detained a juvenile for the crime.
The incidents took place when the woman was returning home after attending a programme in the eastern suburbs of the city.
The victim is said to be a widow, who was walking her way back home at around 11:30 pm on January 15.
Police said that it is when three of the accused men, aged 17, 19 and 21, approached her and took her to an isolated area behind the parked vehicles.
They took turns to rape her after which they fled from the crime spot.
As the survivor began journey home two men, an 18-year-old and a 21-year-old, yet again forced themselves on her after taking her to a secluded location.
It was the next day that she admitted herself to a hospital.
