Woman set on fire in Secunderabad succumbs to injuries; man at large
A 25-year-old woman succumbed to her injuries after she was set ablaze by a man suspected to be her lover.
The crime took place in Secunderabad on Thursday evening.
Police sources said that she died around 7.30 am in Friday while undergoing treatment at Gandhi Hospital in Secunderabad.
Police sources said that the woman worked as a receptionist at an aluminium fabrication unit.
The man is said to be aged around 28 years and apparently called the woman to Lalguda area where he carried out the crime and fled the scene.
The woman, police said, had mentioned the accused to her family as the one who used to harass her.
The woman, who suffered 60 per cent burns, was then shifted to the hospital by the passersby.
The police however did not disclose any details of the accused. >
