Women in Raj colleges; asked to follow ‘dress code’

directive has been issued by the Commissionerate of College Education to all state-run colleges

You may have heard enough on the women’s freedom and equality on International Women’s Day.

But heres the real world after all.

Women students in Rajasthan colleges have been asked to show up only in salwar-kameez complete with a dupatta or saris from the next academic session.

The directive has been issued by the Commissionerate of College Education to all state-run colleges.

It has also been said that the college principals are expected to decide the colour of the dress for boys and girls and submit the final order by March 12.

However, the opposition has accused the BJP government in the state of “saffronising” education.
