Yet another martyrdom; Indian soldier succumbs to injuries

Yet another martyrdom on Indian side as a 34-year-old Indian Army soldier succumbed to injuries caused by “unprovoked firing” by Pakistan in Krishna Ghati (KG) sector along the Line of Control on January 20.

Identified as Naik Jagdish, he sustained grievous splinter injuries during firing exchange and thus was immediately evacuated and provided intensive medical care in the Military Hospital, informed Northern Command of the Army.

Naik Jagadish belonged to Gandashu village in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. He is survived by his wife Usha Devi and two young children.
